CHERRY BLOSSOM

Cherry Blossom honors one of the main themes in traditional Japanese art, continuous lifecycle and hope for longevity. Cherry blossoms are a metaphor for the intensity and fleeting nature of life. The Crane in Japan is one of the mystical or holy creatures, and is said to live for a thousand years. The Phoenix has a forever repeating 1000-year lifecycle, in the end of which it ignites itself and is reborn from its own ashes. Here it appears as a shadow on the moon, spreading its silver flames over the Crane.
